How can I upload to dotPhoto from Picasa?

IMPORTANT: As of August 2, 2016, Google has retired Picasa.  Once it stops working, this feature will no longer be suppported on dotPhoto.

To upload from Picasa (Google's photo software):

  1. Make sure Picasa is installed on your computer.  (You can download here: http://picasa.google.com/)

  2. Copy and paste this link into your browser bar:  picasa://importbutton/?url=http://www.dotphoto.com/Picasa/picasa2dotphoto.pbz 
    (This will launch Picasa and install the dotPhoto button.)

  3. By default, Picasa hides buttons, so click on the Tools menu and Configure Buttons:



  4. Select the dotPhoto button and Add it to your visible Picasa buttons:



  5. Your dotPhoto button will appear at the bottom of your Picasa screen:
