old dotphoto book info

For many years, dotphoto provided the dotphoto Book or Eurobook through a relationship with CEWE, a large German book printer. In 2019, CEWE sold its interest in its U.S. operations to Smilebooks.com, which shut down all U.S. partners. Subsequently, Smilebooks shut down, and all operations were transferred to CEWE. dotphoto offers a new book service that is available online. Click here to learn how to make a book with the new dotphoto online service.

TO MAKE A NEW BOOK WITH DOTPHOTO'S ONLINE SOFTWARE

Upload your photos to a new book album, and follow the instructions here:  How to make an online dotphoto book.

TO RE-PRINT OR VIEW AN OLD BOOK WITH OFFLINE SOFTWARE FROM CEWE

  1. Gather the photos you want in a dotphoto album, and download that album.  How to download
  2. Download the CEWE software here
  3. Insert the photos you downloaded in the software, and order your book.

IF YOU ARE USING THE DOTPHOTO DESKTOP SOFTWARE

If you have a book that you created in the dotphoto Book software, you may still be able to print it by using CEWE software available here:  https://cewe-photoworld.com/creator-software/windows-download

If you made a book in dotphoto books, the book is there, but you may need to find it.

In the dotphoto book builder, go to the FILE menu, and you will see where your book is saved. In the image below, the first book is in D:/AAAtemp/

Alternatively, you can open the file in the dotphoto book builder, and SAVE AS to a new folder that you can remember; then open that folder in CEWE:

Load your MCF file into the CEWE software that you downloaded, and you can work with your files as you did before -- and order your book through CEWE.
