NOTE: there are two services with the same name. The best one ends in .NET The other one is not secure and produces larger PNG files. We recommend www.pdf2jpg.net
Yes. dotphoto uploads most image files up to 30MB each and 6000 dots on the longest side (up to 36 megapixels each.)
To upload a PDF, use a PDF conversion service, and copy the file link directly to the dotphoto uploader.
If you are uploading sensitive PDF documents, we strongly recommend that you add a unique album password to the album where you will store your documents.
How to Upload a PDF to dotphoto
Go to a free service called PDF2JPG.net
Choose your PDF file to upload, and tap the Convert PDF to JPG button:
When the document is converted, right-click on the JPG View button and choose Copy link:
Go into your album, and choose Upload in the upper left.
In the dotphoto Upload tool, (1) Choose Add Files (2) Right-click paste the link into the file name field and (3) tap Open.
You will see the link in the Upload filenames. Tap the green Start Upload button. The PDF image will appear in your album. If it has multiple pages, you will upload multiple images.
UPLOADING AND FILE TYPES
- dotphoto uploads JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIF and BMP files. All files are converted to JPG files on dotphoto. If you download them later, you will download JPG files. Apple devices can also upload HEIC (HEIF) files.
- Files larger than 6000 dots or pixels on a single side will be reduced to 6000 pixels. This is sufficient for printing every product that dotphoto offers.
- Club, Family and other paid members can now upload files up to 30MB each. The size limit for free members is 6MB. Files larger than 6MB can be re-sized with Irfanview in batch mode (Windows users only). Mac users can batch re-size images in OSX: click here for info.
