If someone knows your login or has been invited to your account, your photos are "public." This is helpful if you are selling photos or want to share your photos with a club or many friends and family. Your photos must be public if you want them to appear in dotphoto's MyWebsite feature.
To hide your photos from the general public, add a Guest Password to your account.
Add a Guest password to MyAccount
- Click on the down arrow in the upper right and choose MyAccount.
- Click on Account Settings on the left, and then Account Information,
- Enter a Guest Password for your account as shown below.
- Tap the Save button.
A simple password like the name of your street will make it easier for your guests to remember and to return to your account. A more random password like "3ch902Nm" will ensure that most people never return -- though some may record the password for later visits. You can change the guest password at any time so that people who had the password can no longer access your photos. Guests who are invited to your account.
If you send a link to share your account or an album, your guest can tap the link without requiring a password.
To further protect a single album or albums from appearing for all guests, set an album-level password that is different from the account's guest password by going into the album, choosing Album Settings, adding a Password and tapping the Save button.
