How to edit photos on dotphoto so that they fill your TV screen

Modified on Sat, 13 May, 2023 at 5:03 PM

Most TVs fill the screen at Ultra High Definition (UHD) or 3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels tall.

To edit a photo, tap on the photo and choose the pencil icon in the upper left.

In the dotphoto Editor, choose the Image menu at top and then Image Size. Try setting the height to 2160 and the depth to 3840. You want to see that the other variable is greater than its required length so that you can crop the photo. In the example below, the height is set to 2160, and the width is greater than 3840, so that we can crop it.

Choose Image from the top menu again, and then Canvas Size. The height is a perfect 2160, so set the width to 3840 and tap OK.

Choose File, then Save.  dotphoto saves a new file that says "(edited)". You have a perfect 3840 by2160 photo that will fill a TV screen. dotphoto does NOT overwrite your original photo.
